Rat Pack

As a drummer and vocalist on the club scene aged just 14, Jacko soon realised the business called "show" was the career for him.

Turning professional at 17, meant performing across the UK and Europe, as well as two years in Australia during the Nineties. That's where Jacko's passion for VW's developed, a fully restored 1972 Volkwagen camper still resides proudly on the driveway.

Following fronting bands, duo's and session work, a solo career as "Jack The Lad" earned Jacko a reputation as one of the most entertaining acts on the circuit.

Jacko's vast musical knowledge meant the transition to disc jockey was exceedingly smooth. Years as a drummer, accomplished song writer and studio producer only sharpened the technical skills required for the task in hand.

While Jacko's Karaoke gigs still kept his vocal chords on song, a permanent move to London in 1997 brought an even greater opportunity to make the most of his many talents and versatility...... Radio.

While out celebrating fellow DJ Chris Edgecombe's promotion as presenter on Gemini FM's breakfast show, Jacko who may, or may not, have been under the influence of alcohol at the time, offered to make a few parody jingles for his long time friend. They went down very well with the Devon listeners, a little too well.

The next two years saw listening figures for "Edgey in the Morning" sky rocket thanks in part to Jaxster contributing creative topical audio on a daily basis to rival even those being aired on national stations.

Since then Jaxster has supplied a host of stations & presenters including Sony Gold award winners, Pat Sharp and James Whale.
